You will find our hotel in the popular region Graubünden in Switzerland. Graubünden is the largest Swiss canton, whose most famous holiday resorts include St. Moritz, Klosters, Davos and Arosa. The story of Heidi, Peter and their grandfather also takes place in this breathtaking mountain landscape where the hotel WEISSES KREUZ is located. Bergün lies in the Albula Valley, on the Albula line of the Rhaetian Railway and on the Albula Pass road. Economically and culturally, the village is closely linked to the Engadine. Bergün is a typical street village, with houses in the Engadine style lined up along its ascending main street. They date from the 16th to the 18th century and are partly decorated with facade paintings and equipped with oriels and window grilles. The fantastic mountain world, magnificent nature, wonderful air characterise Bergün as a holiday resort and is suitable for all guests seeking relaxation, sport, fun, games and nature.

Bergün: Wellness for body, mind and soul in a historical ambience

The history of the hotel WEISSES KREUZ hotel probably began in the middle of the 16th century. Until the eighties of the 19th century it was used exclusively for agricultural purposes. It was only after 1889 that it began to expand into a hostel. After an extensive and gentle renovation, we re-opened the WEISSES KREUZ to our guests in mid-December 2003. Wellness for body, mind and soul - feeling good, eating and drinking well - that is the philosophy of our hotel. Comfortable rooms in a historical ambience and a traditionally furnished restaurant welcome our guests. From the garden restaurant you have an impressive view of the surrounding mountains. In particular you will find specialities from the Grisons region. In our kitchen we use as many regional products as possible. Not only the Grisons has preserved its traditional cuisine. This also applies to our hotel, where our guests enjoy the culinary diversity of the region.

In summer and winter you will find numerous possibilities for leisure activities in Bergün. In summer our guests go hiking or go on mountain bike tours. Thus Bergün is the starting point for mountain tours to the surrounding three thousand metre peaks. The railway historical nature trail from Preda to Bergün, an open-air swimming pool, the Albula railway museum and the Darlux double chair lift, which takes you up to the mountain restaurant La Diala at 2000 metres above sea level, offer room for further holiday activities. For skiers and snowboarders there is the Darlux ski area. Bergün also has several toboggan runs. Among them is the longest natural toboggan run in Europe with a track length of 6 kilometres. At night the track is illuminated with floodlights.
